Ossessivo-Inventivo exhibition curated by JoeVelluto

Between obsession and invention, for the exhibition "OSSESSIVO-INVENTIVO" curated by JoeVelluto and on display at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, Davide Groppi creates "oToKo".
The design studio JoeVelluto, founded by Andrea Maragno and Sonia Tasca, involved twelve interpreters who materialized twelve manifesto-objects of their personal obsessions. The exhibition reflects a personal and collective investigation and explores design not as a simple search for answers, but as a discipline that questions itself. Obsession is the drive towards exploration and innovation, fueling the creative process. The inventive side represents both the result and the very essence of obsession.
oToKo (man in Japanese, 男)
"My first obsession, Japan, so close, so far.
The second obsession is the relationship between light and man.
But my real obsession is the constant search for the relationship between absence and essence.
I have always looked for light without a source, always preserving the significant part of the project, trying to never fall into banality. I want my projects to live in the dimension of lightness and fantasy. Lightness and fantasy are my space and my time."
Davide Groppi
The objects were created thanks to the contribution of Diemmebi, a company for the production of metal structures for furniture, partner of the exhibition.
