Two great artists side by side in Piazza Cavalli in Piacenza: Francesco Mochi da Montevarchi and Mimmo Paladino.
The bronze equestrian statues of Alessandro and Ranuccio Farnese, a Baroque masterpiece and symbol of Piacenza created by Mochi between 1612 and 1628, interact with the installation created specifically by Mimmo Paladino.
The horse is the representation of the passage between the ancient and the modern world.
Our light "caresses" Paladino’s horses, without being invasive. It is just a discreet presence.
Light should never be a falsification of the work of art, but a coherent philological interpretation of the artist.
